City Council Meeting, December 20, 2021

At Monday's meeting, council approved joining the National Opioid Settlement.

The city will receive an estimated $64,000 paid over the next 18 years. This money will likely be directed to the drug abuse prevention programs at the Tri-Community Coalition and Berkley/Huntington Woods Youth Assistance.

Our State Representative Regina Weiss gave an update on recent legislation and the state budget.

This was the last meeting that will be in the hybrid of in-person and online. Meetings can still be viewed online, but the city will no longer be supporting participation via Zoom since it was rarely used and required a great deal of staff resources to support.

The full meeting packet is available at the city website.
