I am excited to announce that I am running for Berkley City Council.
Berkley is an amazing place to call home, but even the best homes sometimes have problems.
For the last year, I have volunteered countless hours working to improve our city. Through that work, I have watched the city mishandling our resources and witnessed repeated violations of the public trust. It has become clear that change is needed.
When no one else would step forward, I realized that I could to do more. I bring leadership skills, the willingness to speak out against wrong, and the desire to have a conversation with the community to represent their wants and needs.
I am running to stop the cycle of unopposed elections where the citizens have no choice and our officials have no incentive to be responsive.
I am running to open up communication between the residents and the city. I want to encourage a two way flow of information. I want to hear what you have to say.
And I am running to rebuild trust in our government. Everyone in the city — residents, officials, and visitors alike need to be held accountable for their actions.
I hope you will consider joining me. You can learn more about me and my plan. You can also join find me on Facebook and join in the conversation on how to make a Better Berkley.
