We approved an agreement with the county that will help deliver heaters and enclosures to restaurants for outdoor dining, made an appointment to the library board, and approved changes to our rules on electronic meetings.

At Monday's meeting City Council recognized Holiday Decoration awards, approved the P&R master plan, started preparing for 2021 sidewalk repairs, and approved a legal settlement for the 2014 & 2017 flooding.

Two tax abatement programs with an estimated value of $1.5 million were granted to La Salette School development by Berkley City Council in a 6 to 1 vote. This is a complex subject, and in this article I will try to distill the highlights.

On Monday, Council approved major updates to Oxford/Merchant's park, including a splash pad, a sidewalk repair program, and a pedestrian plaza on Coolidge by the High School.

At yesterday's council meeting, approvals were given for a Five-Year Recreation Master Plan, costs for the 12 Mile Resurfacing, and approving a contractor to start city wide road repairs using the 2018 infrastructure millage funds.

On Tuesday night City Council held its first on-line meeting ever. Items included the Coronavirus emergency, DDA Director, DPW purchases, and Yad Ezra food distribution.
